Time for a bigger news update on CRIMSON FALLS; we’ve got lots of good news to share with you!

:: CRIMSON FALLS SIGNS TO RISING RECORDS ::

First of all we’re very happy to announce that we’ve signed to RISING RECORDS (UK) for a release of our last full cd ‘FRAGMENTS OF AWARENESS’; scheduled for early March 2011! This means that this album will be easily available outside Belgium/Holland as well through Plastic Head Distribution ànd that the album will be supported by a nice promo campaign in the UK & Europe. We believe this cooperation can push us to a new level and we consider it an honour to share the labels roster with bands such as Trigger The Bloodshed, Bleed From Within, Sworn Amongst & of course our buddies in Moker. We hope to cross the channel in support of the UK-release for the first time in March or April 2011!

This is also a good time to thank our previous label GENET RECORDS for all the support they’ve given us these last years. We’ve got great memories of our appearance at Ieperfest 2009 and of our shows with our heroes in All Shall Perish, The Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel, Despised Icon & Origin. This is something we won’t forget and will appreciate throughout the rest of our band’s existence. Thank you Genet!

:: ESP ENDORSEMENT ::

Other good news (for the guitar playing dudes in the band) is that we also inked an endorsement deal with ESP Guitars, one of the leading brands for metal guitars! Once the orders are placed we expect our new babies to arrive halfway 2011. We’re honoured to connect our name to such a respected company and are siked to play on these pearls!

:: 2010/2011 ::

So, lots of good news to end year with! 2010 was an amazing year again for us with unforgettable trips to Germany (Lower Hell cd-release), Denmark (Day Of Decay Fest) & of course our tour to Eastern Europe. It was an important & hectic year as well, as we started the year without a permanent drummer and end it with the new man Mitch blasting away. Thanks again to our dutch friends Friso (Polluted Inheritance) & Erik (Superior) for stepping in when necessary!

2011 promises to become an amazing year as well. First of all we’ll play some more shows to support the Rising Records release of ‘FRAGMENTS OF AWARENESS’. On 16.04.2011 we’ll be playing at the Monster Metal Fest for instance together with Aborted, Cataract & A Traitor Like Judas. More cool shows to be announced soon! In May & June we’ll be making a short show break to focus on some other things in life like becoming a father (Kristof), becoming a lawyer (Mitch) & maybe undergoing some surgery (Tom). Meanwhile Wim will practise some new dance moves & Jay promised to write a Steve Vai-like solo for the new album! This brings us to our main goal for 2011, a new full cd! We already started the writing process a while ago and shit sounds promising, brutal, evolved & still 100 % CRIMSON FALLS. During 2011 we’ll keep on writing new stuff and we hope to be ready to enter the studio in the last months of the year. But more about that later!

Allright, Sunday afternoon we arrived home after our 8-dates European Tour to Eastern Europe! We had an amazing time playing and travelling through Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia and the other countries we’ve been to. Beneath you can find a short tour-report consisting of the updates we posted on our facebook along the road. We also shot lots of vids before, during and after the shows, so some stuff will come online pretty soon as well.

TOUR REPORT 1
Allright, the first three gigs of our Euro Tour went great! Last Friday we played at Double Deuce in Foetz, good to see lots of people came out to support Hills Have Eyes, Crimson Falls and 3 local bands! The day after we drove to Cernosice (near Prague). Expect for the fact that it was fuckin` freezing cold there, the most important thing we can tell you about this show is that it was a complete NUT-HOUSE! Czech kids sure know how to party! Third show was in Puchov, Slovakia with the mighty God Defamer; another very nice evening! Today we have a day off and we spend all day driving through Slovakia, Hungary and Romania. Now we`re chilling with the very nice dudes of Stuck In A Rut in Cluj-Napoca; tomorrow we`re off for three dates in Romania; Brasov, Bucharest and Craiova.

TOUR REPORT 2
Ow yeah, our three Romanian dates were awesome! First we played at Ground Zero in Brasov; the crowd went completely crazy! Apparently this was the first Deathcore show in this city ever; ain´t that nice? The afterparty with Iacob and the Play Or Die Crew was lots of fun as well! The day after we drove to Bucharest; the biggest city in Eastern Europe. We played at Underground Club with She´s Dead. Very cool club; cool place to play. And then yesterday we drove to Craiova to play a show at Dream On. The guys of Relish Booking did a great job gathering all the hardcore kids and metaldudes of the city; making this the first Death Metal-Deathcore show in this city as well; sure we like that! Straight after this show we left Craiova for a 14-hour drive towards Vienna where we play tonight! Ow boy; this was a crazy drive; horns up to our roadie/merchdude/driver/nurse/cameraman/Bjorn-limiter Bud for driving the first 7 hours to the border with Hungary! Awesome job dude! Some parts of the road where horrible, surely around Drobeta Severin, but we made it. Now we are chilling a little at our friends Guy´s and Natasha´s place in Vienna; getting ready for tonight´s show!

TOUR REPORT 3
Yesterday we arrived home safely after our European Tour! The last two shows took place at Escape Rockcorner in Vienna, Austria (Friday) & Merz in Braunschweig, Germany (Saturday). Unfortunately our show in Vienna suffered a little from the fact that there were 3 other shows in the same city that night; among which one with Volbeat & one with Sabaton. Still we had a good time @ the Escape and thanks to the guys from Catapult Promotions to set this show up as we really needed it to get back from Romania. The show in Braunschweig was a perfect closure to our tour; a packed place, good atmosphere, nice people & a great afterparty. That’s the way we like it! We’d like to thank all the bookers, all the kids coming to the shows, all the people who’s place we crashed & showers we used and everyone we partied with! To us this was an amazing tour with some kick ass shows and experiences we’ll never forget! People who have pics or videos from our shows; please send them to crimsonfalls@hotmail.com. We’re happy to announce we’ve got a new European Tour coming up in October/November 2010! After our tour with STIGMA in September 2009, we’re now heading to Eastern Europe on our own. This tour will bring us to Luxemburg, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Austria & Germany and lead us to stages we haven’t crushed before! Here’s the complete tour schedule:

We can announce that we’ll be doing a weekend tour to Denmark in August! On Saturday 14.08.2010 we’ll be playing at the DAY OF DECAY Festival in Aalborg together with kick ass acts such as Neaera, War From A Harlots Mouth, Impious, Trigger The Bloodshed & A Traitor Like Judas! The day before the fest we’ll be warming up at The Rock in Copenhagen together with our buddies in Stigma. Will be cool meeting them again after the Euro Tour we did with them last year.

This will be the first time CRIMSON FALLS will play in Denmark; needless to say we look forward to this a lot!

It was about time we finally launched a new website as we had this url lying around for some time without actually using it. Now we finally got around to it! Nothing too fancy, just an informative website next to our social network accounts at MySpace, Facebook and some others. Design and programming by David Damen (dafmetal). Together with this new website we’ve got some excellent news to share with you; so here we go:

Crimson Falls is excited to announce that Michael Steveninck will be the new CF-drummer! Michael is 18 years old and a new talent in the scene. He replaces Sigi Loots who left the band at the end of 2009. Mitch already played his first shows with us in Foetz (Lux), Ieper & Oostende and that was a blast; literally. Despite his young age we believe Mitch is the right man for the job and his skills, speed & musical taste will blow a breath of fresh air through the band. Of course we are trilled to have a complete line-up again and put the band’s pace at the maximum again. Expect new shows, new (weekend-)tours, new songs & new recordings asap!

Michael had to say the following about joining Crimson Falls:

I’m honoured to be a part of one of Belgians finest deathcorebands, Crimson Falls. I’ve been waiting quite a while for such an opportunity to come around, yet I could never even think of being offered a place in a band of this caliber. Therefore I feel it is my duty to put the same passion and dedication as Sigi Loots in the songs and to give myself 200% at every show. With joining Crimson Falls, I do not only join a great band but also a great group of creative, interesting individuals whom I look forward to work with.

We would also like to thank our interim-drummer Friso Van Wijck again for stepping in after Sigi’s abrupt departure. Thanks to Friso we didn’t have to cancel any shows and he gave us the chance to take our time to search for a new permanent drummer. Those who visited one of our shows earlier this year will know Friso did an amazing job. Thanks mate!
